For churches & ministries

Technology that serves the mission, secured by someone who has sat in your pews.

Member and giving data, the church management system, Sunday livestream, volunteer devices, the AI tool a staff member found last week. A church runs more sensitive technology than most small businesses — with a fraction of the staff. ForEffect is the CIO and CISO on your leadership team a few days a month.

What a church actually runs

Six systems, one person, no margin for a bad Sunday.

Church management

Member and giving data

Rock RMS or Planning Center holds names, addresses, children’s check-in, giving history. Access rules, backups, and vendor settings reviewed by someone who has administered them.

Sunday

Broadcast and network readiness

A weekly pre-service check of the network and streaming path, and a monthly deep sweep — so the livestream holds when the sanctuary is full.

Communications

Follow-up that never falls through the cracks

Governed AI workflows that make sure a first-time visitor, a prayer request, or a benevolence inquiry gets a timely, human-approved response.

Governance

AI guidelines for staff and volunteers

A one-page acceptable-use policy, a tool inventory, and guardrails for anything that touches member data — written so a volunteer will read it.

Finance

Giving platform and financial controls

PCI DSS obligations on giving platforms, separation of duties in the finance office, and the access review your auditors will ask about.

Leadership

Elder and board reporting

A quarterly technology and security report the elders can read in ten minutes, with the decisions plainly stated.

From a client

A partner who learned the church first.

“What stood out about working with Mike and ForEffect was that they took the time to understand how our church actually operates before writing a line of code.”

Questions we hear

Frequently asked

Do you know church management systems?
Yes. Our current church clients run Rock RMS, and we work in Planning Center, Google Workspace, giving platforms, and UniFi networks routinely. We are pursuing partner status with Rock RMS.
Will this get in the way of Sunday?
The opposite. Weekly pre-service readiness checks and a monthly deep sweep on the network exist so Sunday is the one day nothing surprises you.
How do you handle children’s ministry data?
As the most sensitive data in the building: strict access rules, background-check records kept separate, check-in systems reviewed, and a policy that says so plainly.
